Messages and files in Mesh are not chat.

They’re how we keep the job clean:

Where files live (there is no “Files” tab)

On an order page, files show up in a few places:

So if you’re looking for a “Files” tab… it doesn’t exist. wherefilesshowupgif

Uploading files on drafts (and right after submit)

Drafts are the easiest time to manage files.

Drafts

Submitted orders (short edit window)

After you submit, there’s still a short window where you can add files to parts.

If you need to replace something after submit:

Messaging is gated (and that’s on purpose)

You won’t always see a message box.

In normal day-to-day jobs (no holds), Mesh doesn’t run like an always-on messenger.

When you can message

You’ll see messaging open up when the job needs something:

When you won’t see a message box

Common cases:

Rule of thumb:

If you don’t see a message box, look for Reports → Receiving report / Pack‑out report or an Action required panel.

Message Center (order page)

On the order page, messaging lives in:

Message Center → Messages

When it’s available, you’ll see:

Use “This message is about” correctly

This keeps the timeline readable and reduces back-and-forth.

Uploading revised artwork (during holds)

When art is on hold, Mesh will show a per‑part upload form in Message Center:

That upload is per part (not order-wide).

What to do:

  1. Open the order
  2. Scroll to Message Center
  3. Find the Upload revised artwork for … section
  4. Upload the revised file
  5. Add one clear sentence: what changed + what to use

Example message:

See the Holds section of this guide for more details on holds.

What files should you upload?

Mesh doesn’t enforce strict file types everywhere (yet) so don’t treat it like a dumping ground.

Upload what helps the job move forward:

If you’re unsure, upload the smallest thing that makes the decision obvious:
a screenshot + a one-line instruction.

The one rule that prevents most mistakes

When you upload something, always include the decision in plain English:

That’s it. That’s how jobs move fast.
