Local pickup and courier are the two non‑UPS options in Mesh.
Use them when the order is staying local or being handed off directly.
Choose the delivery method on the order
You choose this in the normal shipping section while building the order.
In Carrier, choose:
- Courier
- Local pickup
Mesh will set the matching service:
- Local Courier
- Customer Pickup
Still enter real contact info
Even for pickup and courier, enter a real contact and destination.
That means:
- company / recipient
- address
- phone (when available)
Why?
Because Mesh still uses this information for handoff, delivery notes, customer records, and internal checks. And if shipping with our courier, they will need the address.
Address verification still matters
Courier and pickup use the same Shipping card as other orders.
After submit, open the order and check the Shipping card.
If you see:
- Verify address — click it
- Use carrier-corrected address — use it if the correction is right
- Keep my original address — use it if the suggested correction is wrong
If you edit shipping/contact later, save the change, then verify the address again from the order page if Mesh asks.
Local pickup
Use Local pickup when someone will pick up the order from us.
What to expect:
- The order still needs to be packed out.
- When pickup is ready, Mesh will send a pickup-ready email.
- Pickup completion is logged on the order.
Local pickup does not use a normal UPS tracking link.
Courier delivery
Use Courier when we’re delivering locally by courier. Send us an email in advance if you have never used this beforem and we will set you up with our local courier service.
What to expect:
- The order still needs to be packed out.
- Mesh can send a courier-ready email.
- After you receive the courier ready email, arrange the pickup directly with the courier.
- Once courier pickup is recorded, Mesh will send a ** out for local delivery email**.
- Final courier delivery is logged on the order with an optional photo upload of the delivered packages.
Courier delivery does not use a normal UPS tracking link.
Tracking expectations
UPS orders can have clickable tracking numbers.
Courier and pickup usually won’t.
Instead, look for:
- order status
- message/event updates
- pickup-ready / courier emails
- delivery or pickup events on the order
Most orders still move cleanly without a tracking number when the delivery method is pickup or local courier.
Email expectations
Courier and pickup emails are different from UPS tracking emails.
- UPS uses tracking emails.
- Local pickup uses pickup-ready emails.
- Courier uses courier-ready / local delivery emails.
For contract accounts, these emails usually go to your account notification list first, not directly to the end recipient.
To adjust notification recipients, the account owner can change settings here
When you can still edit shipping/contact
You may edit the shipping address up until production begins.
If you can’t edit it anymore:
- request a hold (if the order still allows it)
- message us with the correct pickup/courier details
